Many of life's journeys take a while to complete. And with some of them we realise when we reach our destination that it may not have been worth it ;-)

As for how the goat is hanging on, well, I'm not sure it would be wise to analyse that point. Nor other related points such as how the lovely couple start their journey, or what happens when the guy stops at the paper shop. Suffice to know that, should you ever need to carry a friend, then there is a method available.

Glad you had a good day, anyway! :-)
Wonder what will arrive next year ...

Nearly missed it... the post, I mean. Its not like it deserves a comment. Lets face it, it's all wrong.

How can a cyclist be used like that?

Goats should stop taking advantage of the idea that they can't use a pushbike by themselves. Why is it up to us to carry them around.

In a world of make believe equality, its about time someone made a stand... a bike stand.

mind you, it'd be interesting to know how that goat IS hanging on?

But thanks for the wishes, you know that I appreciate everything you manage to come up with.

oh and I know I was late getting here, it was a bloody long way I found out after I started walking

Almost right - I didn't quite hit it, which is why the police weren't bothered.
Running over a dog is a reportable incident (not sure if running over a pony would be).

Dunno about the Stig car, but after the events of last Saturday I think a change is afoot this year anyway. That may be the subject of another blog once the trauma has faded.

so lets see if I got this right...

The dog was big as a pony, oh, a small pony. You hit it with your car

I am wondering if your car shouldn't need a total repaint, sending the bill to the dog owner of course and maybe a little 'right off' and then get that stig car you have always wanted.

and all at the expense of a little pony owner (or as you put it, piece of scum)

Not guilty, your honour!
I was referring to others who overspend on food. We spent less than £20 on extra food and I ended up eating most of that running up to New Year!

As I get older the material things don't seem to matter so much, though I do prefer giving to receiving. My daughter was a little upset she hadn't got us much, but she took the time and trouble to think of us while juggling a full time job and an active 6-year old daughter (didn't drop her, thankfully). That's what makes the difference.

I sent you some of our snow - tied it to a passing cloud, so it should be with you in a couple of months.

The only thing that worries me is which eye had the tear?
One of those in your head, I hope ... ;-)

I am only a month late! If I had known you were going to bring a tear to the eye, I wouldn't have even bothered but there you go, causing me all these emotional responses...

By the way, bugger the phone call, if you were spending 200 bucks in your money on food, and buying a flat screen too, I would have pushed for a plane flight

Then I could have experienced a white and cold Christma... hang on a minute, I like it hot, forget that! bring your nearly-wife over here for a holiday!!!

Good to hear that everything is well and truly sorted. I am sure that you will be able to do as good a job of your marriage

Just remember to not forget any passwords and always remember the magic words... "I Do"

(May get you out of trouble in the short term but I am sure it will land you in a power of trouble in the longer term)

I am impressed that you sorted out a new motherboard and now you are about to marry...
"But my processor wouldn't fit the new board (it's rather old), so I searched out a new one."
True love is a magnificent thing!

Hi stranger! Hope it was a good trip! :-)

I don't have caller ID on my phone, but my usual tactic is to politely but firmly refuse the offer and then hang up. This one caught me off guard. I was tempted to ask if the special off included exclusive access to a TV room or a smoking lounge, but that would only have prolonged the conversation.

I must say email is so much easier to deal with!

I still can't figure out why you are so polite?
I refuse to answer any call now that doesn't show their number and if one gets through, I just hang up. My mother still complains via email but I don't have to listen!!!!
